Is it possible for a first-time author to win a Christy? (Has it ever happened?) What sort of writing schedule do you keep, considering you have 4 teenagers and an athletic husband bouncing around your house? Or do you wait until the school year to write? Or do you write only when feeling "inspired?!"

Yes, a first time author can win a Christy. As a matter of fact, that is the only time you are allowed to enter your novel into more than one category.

As a first novel, BRIDE would be eligible for next year's contest under the "First Novel" category and the "Romance" category.

Your questions about my writing habits are good. I'll try to blog on those this week sometime.
