Lights, Camera, Action!

If you haven't had a chance to view my "book trailer," then be sure to click on the link at the top of this page (in the righthand column). If you have dial-up, it takes a while to load, but is totally worth the wait, so please persevere. Once loaded, you can watch it as many times as you want without waiting.

This book trailer was one of those experiments that was going to turn out great or really cheesy. And we wouldn't know which it would be until all was said and done. I think I can say with confidence ... it turned out great!

So, you watch it and let me know what you think. Meanwhile, I would like to acknowledge those who put in long, hard hours to make it work. (You'd never believe something like this could take soooooo much work!!!)

Executive Producer .................. Shelley Kay

Sailor ......................................... John Paul Charbonnet

Thanks to all who made it happen!

Blessings,

At first I just thought the trailer was cute, and it is, but it also really helped me to visualize the characters better. For some reason, in my old age, I'm having a hard time picturing fictional characters younger than 35! Today daughter #2 is picking up copies of Bride and the Chris Well book to send to a soldier in Afghanistan whom she's been corresponding with. We'll put a note in yours indicating that it's ok for "real" men to read romance, and referring him to your website to see the testimonies of your husband and Jeff A. But we also know that whatever we send to him will get shared with many other soldiers as well. Happy weekend!

Dee,
The trailer is quite good.
My daughter has started reading your book. I am going to read it after her. I heard her laughing as she was reading last night. It sounded quite delightful. She won't tell me much, but she says the writing is very good.
My daughter would not have said that if she didn't mean it.
Blessings,
Marvin

Barb - I appreciate your support. I live with four women and a neutered dog, so I am very comfortable and secure in reading things designed and written primarily for women. I have even gotten a couple of emails at my blog:www.jeffatwood.com about this subject.

Hey Jeff--You poor sad man! But I'm sure having so much feminine beauty constantly around you makes up for the lack of other-maleness in the house. :) Hey Miz Dee, don't you think Mr Jeff would be a great addition to the book discussion this fall??? And Mr TS and maybe even your personal Mr Greg? Esp considering the book you've chosen is a thriller with thugs and cops, written by a male-type person. It would be really great to have guy-input on it all...

You heard the woman, fellas. Time to step up to the plate.

P.S. Barb: My man doesn't read my blog. (When I said he's not a reader, I was really serious.) So, jury's still out on whether he'll participate in an actual book discussion which would require not only reading a book, but *gasp* reading a blog. Still, I have a couple of months to work on it. I will do my best.
