Cold Front
We're getting a cold front in today! After record-breaking heat this month of September (with temps above 100 degrees and the heat index even higher), we are cooling down to the eighties.
The high for today is a whopping 84 degrees and by suppertime it is supposed to be 74 degrees. Imagine that. I'll actually get to sit on my porch and swing a while. Glory hallelujah!
What's going on in your neck of the woods?
This month's contest closes tomorrow at midnight. And be sure to read the Christian Crime Drama we are discussing on October 19 - 21.

Burned wood this morning, but no ice on the water buckets, thankfully! Will you be writing while you sit on that swing???

Nope. Just swangin'.

Sounds like a suthun swing! Hubby is off to the hinterlands seeking the moose of his dreams, so we stocked up on jumbo bags of chocolate delights to help comfort us in his absence. Sally and I sat out on the porch this aft for awhile, but she preferred Lucky Charms eaten out of a Snap, Crackle and Pop bowl with a jelly spoon.

In our neck of the woods, it has been around eighty and dry.
The coyotes have been carrying on, making a lot of noise. The cats freak out. Great fun to watch. No, we don't let them outside to be coyote snacks.
Speaking of snacks, now Barb has me thinking about chocolate delights. There must be some form of chocolate in the house. There must be.

Oog--coyotes creep me out cuz they eat farm animals too. They're around here, but so far haven't set foot on our place. We think. If you go to Sam's Wholesale, you can get plain and peanut M&M's in 52 oz bags, and peanut butter cups in 44 oz!

Coyotes are definitely creepy. When I was a kid in California, my grandpa used to shoot them on his ranch and hang their hides on the fence to scare their buddies away. Bobcats, too. But now the bobcats are scarce. Not as adaptable as coyotes, I guess.
Sam's is right down the road from me. I'm ignoring the siren song of those peanut butter cups.

Wow, I didn't know peanut butter cups could sing?! Probably I've never waited long enuf to hear their song. :oD Maybe Miz Dee can work fence-hangin' coyote and bobcat hides into an idiosyncratic story sometime. Eeeewwww!
