Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Last week's decorating went soooo much faster with my friend helping. We listened to Christmas music and laughed and worked really hard. The only thing we didn't get to was the tree in our family room, and I'll have the kids & hubby help me with that.

I took a couple of pictures for you. This first one is of the tree I was telling you about last week that I had to re-string with lights. Total count once I was all done was 1600 lights. It is in the music room and to the left and right are the before and after pictures.

Down the hall is our family room and the tree for this room will go to the right of the fireplace once it is all finished.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed the decorations. For the past couple of years I haven't put up anything but the family tree and stockings because it is so much work. So this year has been a real treat. I didn't take pictures, but we did decorations in the kitchen, in the dining room, on the stairs and in the entry hall.

My friend told me she had visited one lady's house and she had a collection of 200 Santas and 16 Christmas trees. Can you imagine? Made me feel much less frivolous about my Christmas tree with 1600 lights!!
