Pride & Prejudice

My mom and I had a night out with the girls and went to see Pride & Prejudice. Ohmygosh. It was sooooo good. Did you see it? It is my mom's all-time favorite book, so she has seen just about every rendition they've made of it and she said this was by far one of her favorites.

The same little gal who was in Pirates of the Carribean headlined in this one (Keira Knightley). She didn't have much of an opportunity to smile in Pirates. So I really enjoyed her smile in this one. And I thought she did an outstanding job overall in the role of Elizabeth.

Have you read the book? Seen the movie? What did you think?

P.S. Don't forget to sign up for this month's contest!

Yes! It was dreamy! So exciting having such a nice story on the big screen, and so terrifically done. I did notice a lotta old people in the theater when we were there, but that was sweet too, actually. Definitely wanna see it again... :oD

I've got to see it. I'll talk my daughter into going with me, since both our hubbies will turn their noses up at it!

I haven't seen it yet, but I want to! Just have to find someone to go with me. Not easy around here, when virtually all of my friends have moved away or are too busy with their dh's, bf's or so's. And I hate going to movies solo.

Heard a lot of great things about it, including the upcoming nods in the Golden Globes and Academy Awards. And I loved Keira in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Of course, I'm hoping for Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix as well as Walk the Line to do well. Got personal vested interest indirectly in that film. *g*
