Things are starting to happen with The Measure of a Lady. I received this email from my editor yesterday:
"Guess what? I'm holding something in my hands. It's rectangular. 5 1/2 x 8 3/8. Elegant cover. Yep. Your book. In paperback and hardcover. I think it looks really good."
And from our online manager:
"I thought you'd like to see the following reviews for your book, The Measure of a Lady:
It will still be June 16th before Lady should be available "everywhere," but it may start showing up at CBD or independent bookstores mid-May. Pretty exciting!

Thanks. Bride came out in paperback only. So, the hardback thing is a first for me.

Sooooo what does hardback signify? That you're a VIA now--Very Important Author? Will there be wider distribution of this book somehow?

From what I understand, they had libraries in mind for the hardbacks (though I think anyone can buy them).
And the publishers are always trying to get a wider distribution. So, that would be a "yes" to that question.
Hiya, Mike. Thx.
