All Grown Up

Well, the puppies are big enough to leave the nest. Here is one last look:

This is Copper. The atheltic one. You should've seen his vertical. He has a great future in frisbee catching.

Here he is with his mama.

This is One-Eyed Jack. A big boy with a big appetite. His favorite subject in school was Recess.

The black-and-white one below is the one we couldn't part with. Another healthy eater. We would put the puppies' dog food in a pan and set it in the yard. It was so cute to see them all come a-runnin' when that pan hit the ground. Our boy preferred a front row seat and always cleaned his plate. Two years later, he's still a piggly-wiggly. The vet has him on "lite" dog food. Hasn't helped.

His eyes eventually turned yellow like his mother's. Can you guess what we named him? Click here to vote.

I can't believe you gave any of them up!!!! Don't you have 4 kids? They could have each had a doggie!

Bite your tongue, Barb! I can't believe I weakened and took the one. The work is exponential. Twice as much poop, barking, digging, training, walking, pestering ... and twice as much lovin'.

Okay. I confess. I adore our doggies. What can I say?

I'm gonna skip out on my post today (Thursday) because my characters are at the theatre and I don't know what's playing! (It's 1895.)

I found some titles on Google, but I need the script and score to do the scene up right. So, I'm off to downtown Houston (Rice University Library) to see what I can find.

By the time I get back, it'll be too late to post. So ... I'll see y'all tomorrow.

I know. I know. But I have an unfair advantage so as long as I can get an autograph when the next book comes out -- mums the word ;-)

Those pictures of the pups are awesome! They look like postcards.

Susan, I've already had to put a warning to Greg on the contest page explaining he can't enter the contest. That goes for you, too, dear. No family members allowed. But, you know I'll sign it for ya anytime.

Barb, Took me five hours of reading upmteen different plays to find one that would work. All for what will amount to, maybe, 2 or 3 paragraphs!
