Contest Winner

Well, last month's contest winner couldn't be coaxed into sending us his picture. Seems he was too busy. I'm not sure I believe him, though, I can't imagine why he would be squeamish about having his photo plastered on a romance website, can you??

Anyway, his name is Mike and I feel like I can harass him a little because he happens to be an online buddy whom I will get to meet for the first time next month at the ACFW convention. He's from Tennessee and he thought my dog's name was Zoie (as did most everybody else).

The questions was:
What is the name of Deeanne's female border collie?

Here's how you voted:

51% voted for Zoie
27% voted for Cowgirl
12% voted for Tootsie
8% voted for Princess
2% voted for Baby

The answer is: TOOTSIE

Now, let me give a little disclaimer here. We acquired this dog when she was one year old and so her name came with her. We didn't choose it. When she had puppies and we decided to keep one, I thought we should name the puppy "Pop." (You know ... Tootsie & Pop?) But no one else in the family thought that was as clever as I did. So, as you may recall from last month's contest, he ended up with the name Cowboy.

So, now you have been introduced to the whole family.

The new contest is up. This month's question is:

What TV celebrity emailed Deeanne to express how much she loved A Bride Most Begrudging?

Thanks, Dee. I got the book (cover is great) and can't wait to read it. Actually, my mom took it and is reading it first.

As for the picture, I thought a little rhyme might be appropriate...

There was a blogger who had a friend
And Lame-O was his Name-O
L-A-M-E-O
L-A-M-E-O
L-A-M-E-O
And Lame-O was his Name-O.

See why I don't write songs anymore?

Thanks again.

I want a thorough review of the book from Mr Snyder when he's done with it. The male perspective! And I LUV Tootsie and Pop! HA ha HA ha HA ha! Hysterical! :oD

Thanks, you guys. My tired brain needed a little silliness tonight.

One of my friends is getting a puppy. Think I could talk her into naming it Lame-O?

I think Pop is very clever. Of course I would probably forget the name and call him/her Soda. But Pop has a much nicer ring to it than, say, Roll.

Roll actually came up as a suggestion, but we decided it might start rolling over everytime we called its name, so that got nixed as well. ;-)

I was given a dog for my 16th birthday. Growing up in SoCal during the 80's, I wanted to name her Cowabunga. My mom nixed that idea, though, because she thought we'd probably shorten the name to "Cow" and she would become confused. So I named her Bodacious instead and we called her Bo. lol

I *love* Cowabunga. Brings back some great memories. And I hate to admit this, but our ninteen year old calls Cowboy "Cow" more often than not.
