Waterskiing Fun
Well, we had a great week of boating, waterskiing, and tubing in South Carolina. (And I see from last week's comments that while the cat was away, the mice certainly played! Ha!) The weather was hot, but beautiful. It was a bit of a bittersweet week, though, because it was our first vacation without all the kids.
As you recall, our 18 year old left the nest last July and, boy, did I miss him during our vacation. It's amazing how the family dynamics change when somebody isn't present.
Still, we had good times. I have posted the photos on my scrapbook page. Scroll down to the "Waterskiing Vacation" category for all the pics with captions.
It's great to be home again!

I'll bet the adventurous son will wish he'd gone too, when he sees the fun pix! You're still babelicious in your colorful swimsuit--you're a cute chickie!--but I still wanna see a picture of your boots!

Great pictures! A beautiful lake, a beautiful family.

Okay... I've witnessed it and wait 'till I tell your dear BIL about this. He'll work even harder in convincing you to get on his motorcycle or 4-wheeler to go for a spin during the next family event ;-)

Maybe we should just take a poll now since we all know you are a "watcher" and not a "doer". Okay. Who wants to see Miz Dee in leather portraying the "Motorcycle Mama" image? We can even get her a cute rub-on tattoo ;-)

I rode with Phil on his motorcycle once. About, say, 10 years ago? Maybe. I think that should count.
And I'm tellin' you right now, I ain't gettin' *near* that 4-wheeler. It's bad enough *watching* y'all drive the thing.
I'll do what I can about the boots, Barb.

Sure, it would be fun to see Miz Dee in biker gear. But I'll stick up for her right to avoid bikes if she hates 'em, like I avoid boats. Yep, I'm water-phobic. I say we're each entitled to at least one phobia.

Oh she has more than one phobia. And Dee that doesn't count because the rest of us haven't seen you on one. We'll let you slide on the 4-wheeler and I promise that I'll "ask" him to go slow on the motorcycle. I have all the gear and wouldn't let you on it without it ;-)

How about a picture of Miz Dee standing next to a motorcycle in leather and her boots?!

Great idea Barb. I'm still betting my DH can talk her into it. And I know bribery is a sin -- but I'd be happy to share some of my strawberry shortcake dessert with her, which I know she loves ;-) Can ya tell I just want something cute to scrapbook??? And that would soooo be a kodak moment.

Oh, right, Susan. Like your DH even knows the definition of *slow.* But your strawberry-banana shortcake really is good. Are you saying you won't make it if I don't ride? But, that's like ... so unfair!!

Meg, you don't like boats, but you'll ride all over the country on the back of your DH's bike? How can that be??

I don't like motorboats or motorcycles or 4 wheelers, nor do I scrapbook (oops), and I prefer my desserts with chocolate, but I am wearin' my boots! :oD

I'll make it, but Phil says you only get one strawberry.

Oh, my. One strawberry. This is not good. Not good at all.
Well, well, well, Barb. I didn't know you had a pair of boots?! Do tell!

If you only get one strawberry, it should be a BIG one! My boots are red with flowers and byoo-tee-full! Dunno if they qualify for authentic cowgirl boots tho, cuz I got 'em in the Midwest. And now yours?!

Yes, ma'am, I will ride all over the place behind my hubby because he's very safety-conscious and has four decades of riding experience. And because it has nothing to do with water.
Did somebody say chocolate?

I'm pretty sure they have cowboys in the midwest, so I'm thinkin' they count. I'll see what I can do about giving y'all a sneak peek at mine.
