Under the Weather

Hey, there. I'm back home, but not feeling too great. When I went to North Carolina last week, I didn't realize I would be at 3200 feet and was totally unprepared for the cold temperatures. I had brought my flip-flops and tank tops. Not the best choice for temperatures in the 50s.

In any event, I drug in late Sunday night, collapsed into bed and haven't ventured much further than that. I'm trying to recouperate before heading to Dallas on Thursday. So, I didn't even turn on my computer yesterday and as soon as I finish here, I plan to crawl back under the covers and only come out for chicken noodle soup and bottled water.

Sorry I've been such a slacker. I should be back in full swing next week when I return from Dallas.

I was gonna say, Wow, she's back in the land of the living! But I guess not quite. Double-Stuf Oreos are really good for sickness too. If you freeze them first and then set them on your forehead, they'll help bring your fever down!

Still feel rotten, but have to drag myself out of bed tomorrow and go to Dallas. But the doc gave me some antibiotics, so hopefully I'll be feelling better soon.

And, thanks.

P.S. I'd rather eat the oreos!!

You eat 'em after the cool your fever. Then they aren't quite so hard to bite. Can't you stay home and let Mr Greg wait on you for a weekend???

Oh, Dee, you poor thing. There's nothing worse than traveling sick! Ick! Do hope you regain your strength before the conference. I really wanted to head to ACFW conference this year, but couldn't swing it with new grandchild and several other looming responsibilities. Let's pray your antibiotics do their thing!

By any chance are you going to the CBA Advance 2007 in Indianapolis in January? I'll be there--for my very own book signing! It'd be great to connect. I just LOVE your writing style.

Take care, and don't stay up too late giggling. Yeah, right, tell that to a bunch of women! (smile)

Oh, and have FUN at the awards banquet. Bet you'll be goin' up on stage!!!!! You ARE nominated, aren't you--or am I imagining that I read that somewhere?

Blessings,
Shar
