Mission Accomplished

Guess what? I cleaned off my desk! I worked on it all day long the day after Thanksgiving. I started first thing in the morning and didn't finish until that night. But, boy does it feel great. I still have a list of things I need to do and phone calls I need to make that couldn't be done on a holiday, but at least I can breathe again when entering my study.

Here was the before:

And, now, the after!

The question now is: Will I actually do the things on my "to do" list? What about you? Do you make "to do" lists and then actually complete the tasks or are do you make the list and then say to yourself, "Oh, yes. I really must do those things. Perhaps tomorrow."

No offense, but I miss the flaming pinks and purples of the before pictures! I combined 3 half-finished lists into one last night. Then I started another list next to my bed before I went to sleep. So I guess my answer to your questions would be yes and no!

I'm impressed, Dee. Your desk puts mine to shame.

I make to-do lists and then I lose them. Sometimes I e-mail them to myself so they can't get away.

I started a new list today after I threw out 4 old lists from around Thanksgiving time! Whew!
I've been carrying it around the house with me .. adding to it but not crossing anything off! That is scary!

I cleaned my desk this last week when we had guests stay in our room. Now it is stacking up again ... sigh.

I crossed 2 things off of both of my 8 inch long lists today. Double-sigh....

OY! I have lists for my lists. And I've finally learned to break down my lists. Instead of writing "clean kitchen", I write "empty dishwasher", "load dishwasher", "sweep floor", etc. That way I can cross off a lot more stuff. lol
