If Women Controlled The World ...

What would you do if you controlled the world?

Love it--especially the parking spot. I think I would make car keys have a pager system like cordless phones. That would save me so much time.

I'd make being chubby and wrinkled and gray in old age acceptable again. Nay, honorable!

I would certainly own one of those hammer & screwdriver sets, for starters!!!

I would also be sure you had more help with your books so you could hang out here in cyberspace with us more often! I miss having you around!!!!

Amen to that!

Oh my gosh! I absolutely love it. That speedometer just about says it all.

My favorite part of the speedometer is the one that says "SHUT EYES". hahahaha. That cracks me up.

And, Katybug, I asked the guy at Home Depot last month if they had any cute screwdrivers with pink handles or something. He scoffed at me. Can you believe it? Somebody needs to write Mary Englebright and tell her to make us some cute tools!!

And I wish I had help on my books too. I'm really struggling. Not with my writing but with my time management. Every time I think I'm going to be able to get a lot done, I end up spending the day putting out fires (computer problems or tax related stuff or minor family emergencies, etc). I just about lost it today ... but I didn't have time!! How sad is that?

Angela, I bought a pager from Brookstone once. You threaded it onto your keychain and then set the base unit up in your house. But, it never did work quite right. So, I now have one of those valet key chains. I fastened one end to my purse, then as soon as I get out of the car, I clip my keys onto the other end. That's worked pretty well.

Barb, Isn't there something in the Bible about women with gray hair being honorable??? I can't remember exactly, but I know it is something good!

I've seen something similar at BabiesRUs, but I think beside the Handicapped parking spaces at all stores and businesses, there should be expectant mother spots with a prego stick figure rushing towards a bathroom. I've seen some poor, bedraggled prego moms waddling in from the back forty at Walmart, trying to get to the carts to put the toddlers in...and that's just not right.

Becky, the back fourty? That's too funny. Thanks for the keys tip, Dee. That would really help me out. One time I couldn't find my keys so the kids were late for school--the funny thing is that it was awards day at chapel and they were handing out attendance awards. Everybody got a good laugh when my kids were called and they weren't there.

Funny stuff!! I've seen a set of pink tools before. I can't remember where, though. I've also seen parking spots designated for expectant or new mothers. Not with a prego stick figure running for the bathroom, though. LOL!

It is 2008 and I have just finished A Bride Most Begrudging. What a great book. I couldn't put it down. I started at the beginning of the blog reading to catch up... but I'm only in Jan 06, so I thought I would chime in too. I read more than one book at a time, do at least 3 or 4 embroidery projects at the time, so might as well multitask through the new art of blogging too! The pictures made me laugh - been trying to think up a new one, surprisingly, the first couple of thoughts, I had to say, no, they really do already have one of those!

Dee, Jenster, and anyone else who's interested, the Lilian Vernon catalog has a 95-piece pink tool set! AND it's on sale for $9.98! Woo hoo! See it here: http://www.lillianvernon.com/catalog/product_display.jsp?searchParam=LV&pdId=1533&addOn=883&sid=eas The description says "At last, tools for women!" I didn't see any nail files or eyelash combs included, so it's really not complete. ;-)

Welcome, Carolyn! Be sure to go over to the Chat Room (if you haven't already). Katybug, THANK YOU!!! I'm so excited. I ordered it. It is supposed to come in a couple of weeks.

ROTFLOL! My husband was just commenting the other day that there should be roads where only women drive and roads where only men drive. I hate to admit that I'm one of those people. I think that giant parking space really appeals to me. :-)

Dee, you MUST post a picture of you using those tools when it arrives!!!!

If women ruled the world, which they do me especially, all men should have to pick up cute Irish, Scottish, or English accents. Because every girl likes a nice accent.
