Costume Tips
In this month alone I've dressed in costume for a Costume Ball, a Masquerade, a Murder Mystery Party and a Victorian Photo Shoot. For some of those events, I splurged. For others, I either used stuff that was right in my closet or stuff that I could find super-cheap. Take a look.
What about you? Where do you like to find your costumes?

Funny--you are the world's best cheerleader! Have you offered this to the store for them to use for advertising?

Most of my costumes were made for me. I had a schoolmarms costume that was made for me by the gal in charge of the old sacramento school house museum, when I was a docent for them.
However, when I went to an 80's party we did go the thrift store to get everything we needed.
Also its a good idea to raid your mom's closet. My renfaire costume basically came from an old night shirt my mom had, with a skirt I talked my friend into making for me. And a bodice someone gave me.
