I just finished reading Deep In the Heart of Trouble. I loved it, I will definitely look for more when I shop for another book. It helped me get through a time when I have been too ill to go visit my brand new grandson. I am on my way tomorrow. Thank you for your faith based books.

Sounds like you all had a blast. That Coca Cola puzzle looks like a lot of fun!!! :) I can't wait to read "Beguiled"! I lived in South Carolina for 10 years until just recently, and absolutely loved visiting Charleston. I'm sure that this book is going to be excellent just like all the other books you've written. Hope to win a copy of it! ;)

I can't imagine what it must be like to have an empty house (we have four little boys now), I am not looking forward to it-- of course then I would get a lot more work done :)! My cousin asked for "A Bride in the Bargain" for Christmas...I bought it and thought I would check it out before I gave it to her. Well, I ended up reading the whole thing! I read it very carefully so it wouldn't look used (shhh don't tell!). It was so good, I just couldn't help myself. So then (right after Christmas) I bought "The Measure of a Lady" and both "Trouble" books and spent the rest of my holiday break reading them. I couldn't put them down! Although I got very little sleep, it was my mini-vacation and I loved it :). I am so excited to hear you have new one coming out. So glad to have found your books. Thanks for writing such amazing fiction!

I love how you have such nice traditions with your family. That really makes Christmas special for everyone I bet. The part that made me laugh was when I saw the picture of the cookies because they looked so yummy, it made me want to have a cookie, yet it also reminds me of all the goodies that I eat for Christmas- which then makes me feel so guilty, since so much is not good for me yet I still eat it all and regret it after it's in mystomch..

I know what you mean, Schnei. I did really good this year, but passing up those trays of cookies day after day was a killer!! I didn't even attempt to pass up the ones my son's girlfriend made. It was a gift and I just decided to enjoy them!! :)

Leah, One of my daughters got an icing-decorating kit for Christmas (my other daughter gave it to her), so she got really into it. Even made stockings with a Dallas Cowboy star on them!

I love seeing your family traditions- I think the puzzle is a great idea! Just wanted to let you know... I LOVE your books! It is so wonderful to read romance novels where Christ is at the center. You prove that sparks still fly, in fact, they flame even higher, when we are seeking a relationship that is pleasing to God. I love it, and I can't wait to read Beguiling and Maid to Match!

Dee- I love the puzzle you and your daughter completed! A local coffee shop sits out puzzles and allows all of the customers to put them together. Afterwards, they glue them and hang them around the shop. I think that is so neat. I don't know that I have the eye or patiences for it though. Happy New Year! :)

Hi Deeanne, I just sent you an e-mail early this morning. I just finished reading "The Measure of a Lady". I could not put it down. Rachel's character and committment to God is one every young woman should strive for. I loved Johnnie Parker too. I was practically holding my breath to see how you would cause Johnnie to be so aware of Christ in Rachel that he would be convicted of his sins and repent, recommitting his life to Christ. I loved how Rachel came to understand the meaning of charity towards those less fortunate. I loved how Rachel being inspired by God opened a House of Refuge. Lastly, I love how you developed the love story between Rachel and Johnnie. The ending of this book couldn't have been better. Thank you for writing it. I know your daughters will live up to your expectations as they see your own character revealed in this book. Your sister in Christ, Janice

My husband and I spent the weekend in NYC, a Christmas gift from one of our sons and his wife. The gift included a driver. I began reading Beguiled while riding the interstates, lost in your story. I was jerked to awareness when my husband drew my attention to the Statue of Liberty in the distance to my right with the remark, "You can read anytime. You don't drive into NY every day." It was an exciting weekend and an exciting story which, by the way, I finished by the interior car lights before we arrived home. I highly encourage another collaboration with Bertrand. The blend has to garner you a few more awards.
