Here are some suggestions for fun food & activities your book club can do when you discuss A Bride in the Bargain.
Theme:
Anna and Joe's World
Food:
Donuts, tray of hard-boiled egg halves, any other snacks and drinks
Decorations:
Find some calico remnants to drape the tables. Arrange food on tables along with a copy of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew," seashells (paste a few on a frame and add the Bible verse from Matthew 13:45-46), small log cabins built of Lincoln Logs, small vases of wildflowers.
